Corpse flowers can grow to about 10 to 15 feet tall and the blooms can be about 13 feet wide. The scientific name for the flower, Amorphophallus titanium, translates to “misshapen giant phallus” because the flower is phallus shaped, but lumpy and twisted. When the flower blooms, it is impressive, with a dark reddish-purple bloom opening around the pale yellow to yellow-green center.
